Just had word that our Cornish Blue cheese and 10 year old Port cut ganache chocolate has been put forward to the Grand final of the International Chocolate Awards. The awards ceremony is during Chocolate Week in October. The chocolate is made by making a ganache with a Tanzanian 65% origin dark chocolate and fresh Cornish Cream with Cornish Blue Cheese and Port which is then enrobed in milk chocolate (Venezuelan 44% origin).
The International Chocolate Awards is a new scheme set up to recognise the best fine quality chocolate from around the world. The awards are designed to reflect international tastes and offer a level playing field for international entries. The judging panel is made up of experts, food journalists and pastry chefs from the host country, overseen by a Grand Jury who travel to each competition.
The judging takes place under a meticulous scoring system as outlined on the Awards website, so we are extremely pleased with the outcome so far.
